Description

Experienced Cake decorator/Pastry Chef required for busy cake shop.

4 or 5 set days per week ideally also to be available on Saturdays

Overtime required in the summer months.

We are looking to add a creative and talented cake decorator + baker to our team creating bespoke wedding cakes and buttercream layer cakes for our high end clients and venues across Scotland.

Flexibility with finish times is essential as we react to the business needs.
Cando attitude
Ability to work as part of a team in a busy kitchen
An eye for creative design
Be happy dealing with customers/answering phones etc etc.
Be happy to work quickly and under an element of time pressure
Stamina to work long days when required

Skills
- cutting, filling + preparing cakes for decoration
- replicating the cakes we have on our website
- buttercream covering + ganaching
- fondant covering
- basic piping skills
- be able to ice and decorate cupcakes

Driving license would be ideal but not essential as we will also require our decorators to help with deliveries.

Successful applicants will be invited to an interview and short trial.

Salary up to 26K Pro Rata depending on experience
