    Outline of the role

  • Use state-of-the-art CVD synthesis reactors and analytical equipment to synthesise and characterise diamond materials developing an in-depth understanding.
  • Design and execute experiments, analyse data, and present your findings and conclusions to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Invent and patent new CVD methods, diamond products, and solutions.
  • Collaborate with commercial and academic partners on materials and applications development and testing.
  • Writing proposal for external funding such as Innovate UK or EU projects.
    • Qualifications:
  • An undergraduate degree in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science or a relevant Engineering subject.
  • An ability to complete practical laboratory work which requires attention to detail, in a safe and systematic way.
  • A demonstrated willingness and ability to quickly learn and apply new skills and techniques.
  • Strong analytical skills for data capture and interpretation.
  • Good interpersonal and presentational skills, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A background in quantum technology.
