    JOB DESCRIPTION


    Responsible for the safe receipt, storage, and delivery of bulk liquids of a flammable or hazardous characteristic including the general upkeep and security of the establishment.

    To ensure operations are undertaken in a safe and efficient manner, complying with Regulatory, Wood, Terminal, and Client Procedures.

    Demonstrate Company Values in all interactions with customers and colleagues, ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards.

    RESPONSIBILITIES


    Safety 1.1 Promote a strong safety culture - Safe Out, Safe Home 1.2 Ensure all work is conducted in full compliance with Company Health, Safety and Environmental Policies, associated site safety regulations and good industry practice 1.3 Be pro-active with the Company Safety Management System and demonstrate safe working practices during all working activities 1.4 Responding to Safety Critical System Alarms and taking appropriate action to prevent an incident
    Financial 2.1 Promote ideas which will increase efficiency, reduce cost or time without compromising service standards and present to line manager
    People 3.1 Demonstrate a high standard of customer service and positive experience for all passengers/pilots and uphold Company values and standards 3.2 Support team performance by sharing knowledge and best practice at all levels
    Operations 4.1
    Carrying out routine inspection of tank bunds. Draining surface water in bunds as necessary
    4.2
    Dipping storage tanks and draining water from tanks in accordance with work procedures
    4.3
    Carrying out sampling and testing of Tank Water Bottoms for microbiological growth
    4.4
    The correct operation of all Terminal Drainage Systems, Interceptors and Outfalls and adhering to procedures regarding the release of water from such systems
    4.5
    Sampling product before receipt, in storage and on delivery. Testing product samples as required
    4.6
    Checking laboratory testing equipment ensuring that it is in calibration and in good working order. Maintaining cleanliness of laboratory and sample storage area. Monitoring stock levels of laboratory consumables. Preparing samples to be dispatched for independent testing as required
    4.7
    The operation of Terminal Pumping Systems for all product imports, exports, vehicle returns, transfers and line stripping
    4.8
    The operation of all Road Vehicle loading equipment being able to assist with loading of Road Tankers as required. Check and clean Line Filters and Pump Filters as required
    4.9
    The operation of all Fuel additive and Marker Systems. Operating Fuel Marker Systems directed. Overseeing Fuel Additive receipts

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Experience of working in a terminal environment

    An understanding of the operation of site plant and equipment related to the receipt, storage and delivery of hazardous bulk liquid petroleum products

    An understanding of the hazardous characteristics of the substances handled.

    An understanding of the site safety regulations and controls and the action to be taken in an emergency situation.

    NVQ level II for Bulk Liquid Warehousing (Provided)
