Administrator in a Secondary School in Southwark
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrator to join our secondary school in Southwark.
As an Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the school's administrative functions.
This is a full-time position with working hours from 8am to 4pm.Responsibilities:
General Administrative Support:
Provide comprehensive administrative support to the school, including managing correspondence, handling phone calls, and responding to inquiries from staff, students, parents, and external stakeholders.
Student Records Management:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records, including enrollment, attendance, and academic progress. Ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
Scheduling and Calendar Management:
Coordinate and manage the school's calendar, including scheduling meetings, appointments, and events. Ensure timely communication of schedules to relevant parties.
Office Management:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the school's office, including managing office supplies, equipment, and facilities. Maintain a clean and organized office environment.
Communication and Correspondence:
Draft and distribute internal and external communications, such as newsletters, memos, and announcements. Ensure effective communication channels within the school community.
Event Coordination:
Assist in organizing and coordinating school events, such as parent-teacher meetings, open houses, and graduation ceremonies. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure successful event execution.
Data Entry and Reporting:
Accurately enter data into school management systems and generate reports as required. Assist in analyzing data to support decision-making processes.
Financial Administration:
Support the finance team in tasks such as processing invoices, tracking expenses, and maintaining financial records.
Compliance and Policies:
Ensure compliance with school policies, procedures, and regulations. Stay updated on relevant legislation and implement necessary changes.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in an administrative role, preferably in an educational setting.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient computer skills, including MS Office Suite and data entry.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Familiarity with school management systems and databases is a plus.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations in the education sector.
Job Types:
Full-time, Temp to perm
Salary:
£14.00-£16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
