    About the role

    The postholder will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of the project, working directly for the PI, Prof. Elena Fiddian-Qasmiyeh, based at UCL. They will also work closely with a Research Fellow and 9 locally-based researchers. They will support the PI and Research Fellow on a range of joint knowledge exchange and outreach activities such as seminars, workshops and an end of project conference. They will be responsible for supporting the PI in maintaining the budget, timetable and delivering the communications plan. Please see the job description for full duties and responsibilities.

    Funding is available at Grade 7, spine point 30. This is a part time (, hours per week), fixed term post with funding available until 31st March . The appointment will start as soon as possible.

    About you

    Applicants must have demonstrated experience in an outreach/event management/public relations role, with experience of administration within a Higher Education Institution, or similar. Experience of using digital media in communications, including the delivery of web content and deploying social media within an organisational context is key, along with excellent interpersonal and presentation skills and the ability and confidence to represent the project in a professional manner to a range of internal and external stakeholders.

    Knowledge of the global South, particularly the contemporary Middle East and of debates within the field of refugee and forced migration studies is desirable but not essential.
