Category Buyer - HouseholdLuton – Hybrid working available£50,000 + BonusDo you have experience buying Household or Health and Beauty and are looking for a new challenge?I am currently recruiting for an experienced Category Buyer to join a well-known High Street FMCG retailer.

This is a great opportunity for a strong trading focused Buyer / Category Manager to join the team.

You will be responsible for supporting the Senior Buyer/Head Of Buying to deliver commercially focused product ranges that meet both Departmental and Company targets, while maintaining a strategic business focus to ensure continued growth within the department.

As a Category Buyer some of your duties will include.
Sourcing new products whilst optimising current assortment. Negotiating best cost prices.
Building & maintaining strong relationships with current suppliersEnsuring selected product lines achieve season defined timeframes.
Analysing sales figures to plan successful future lines.
Working with Marketing to develop promotional plans.
Negotiate the best possible contracts & terms. Working closely with the individual stores to streamline any issues.

Constant competitor and price analysis to ensuring product offerings stay relevant Presenting reports, figures, and trend information to the Senior Management teamKey requirements for the role.

Proven previous experience as a Buyer / Category Manager within Household or Health and BeautyAbility to influence and negotiate effectively.

Able to adapt swiftly in a fast-paced market.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively at all levels.
Good working knowledge of budgets and managing conflicting projects.
Excellent understanding of all MS Office products.
