    Title: Global Financial Controller

    Location: London (hybrid)

    Salary: Up to £130k, plus bonus

    Position Overview:

    Finatal are supporting a PE backed healthcare business, 12-18 months from exit, seeking a Global Financial Controller to oversee their financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and driving improvements in financial controls and processes. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will manage the day-to-day activities of the operational finance team, provide strategic leadership in financial reporting, and optimise cash flow and treasury management practices.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage and mentor the operational finance team, providing guidance and support to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
    • Develop and implement robust financial controls and procedures to enhance transparency, accuracy, and compliance across the organization.
    • Oversee the preparation and review of external financial statements, ensuring compliance with IFRS and other regulatory requirements.
    • Lead the development and enhancement of financial systems and processes to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
    • Manage the year-end audit process, including coordination with external auditors and preparation of audit schedules and documentation.
    • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with external auditors, ensuring open communication and efficient resolution of audit-related issues.
    • Optimise cash flow management practices, including forecasting, monitoring, and analysis of cash flows to support strategic decision-making.
    • Implement treasury management best practices to maximise liquidity, minimise risk, and optimise capital allocation.
    • Identify opportunities to improve the company's cash flow and working capital management, driving initiatives to enhance profitability and shareholder value.

    Qualifications:

    • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification or equivalent
    • 10+ years of progressive experience in financial management, ideally with a strong background in healthcare or life sciences industries.
    • Prior experience in a global, multi-entity environment, preferably within a Private Equity-backed organisation.
    • Deep understanding of financial reporting standards and proficiency in financial controls and compliance.
    • Proven track record of managing day-to-day finance operations, including team leadership and development.
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior leadership, auditors, and external stakeholders.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
