An exciting opportunity for a Shot Blast/Paint Operative has arisen for a company that specialises in the supply of plates, profiles and in-house processing to all major markets including naval, oil & gas, onshore & offshore renewables, construction andbridges.

The company has the UK's largest fully automated shot blast and paint line, capable of processing steel plate and sections up to 18,000 mm in length and 3,750 mm in width, with lifting capacity of up to 25 tonnes per plate.


Duties include:


  • Loading and unloading of material using overhead cranes and FLT.
  • Maintaining traceability of products.
  • Carrying out quality checks and verification of product.
  • Ensuring daily production targets are met.
  • Working to the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Maintaining good housekeeping practices.
  • Organising and planning work.

Beneficial Experience:


  • Understanding of quality inspection procedures and techniques.
  • Valid Overhead Crane, FLT and UK Driving Licences.
  • Good communicator, able to use a computer and who is willing to develop their skills and embrace change as we introduce more automation into the warehouse in the future (bar coding, warehouse management system, etc.).
  • Attention to detail and the ability to carry out quality tests and visual inspections of the material.

Monday - Friday 6.00 am pm

SALARY £ £11.41 per hour
