    A phenomenal, global manufacturing organisation based in Sussex are looking to welcome a Demand Planner on a 9 month FTC.

    You will report to the Global Manufacturing Planning Manager and your role will be supporting the production processes through scheduling and controlling manufacturing outputs through the production process to ensure all products are running in time and in full and improve the communication flow by bridging the gap between material supply, engineering changes to demand requirement.

    The role will entail the following supply chain responsibilities:

    Active management of purchase orders and distribution orders from product supply centres or suppliers to the point of delivery.

    Pro-active expediting of requirement to maximize stock availability for product supply centres whilst ensuring optimal inventory levels.
    Communicate and escalate supply risk to minimize global service impact.
    Attending the relevant material shortage meetings for relevant areas (manufacturing, commercial and spares).
    Managing objectives by pro-actively managing key performance indicators (KPIs).
    Maintaining and managing Supplier Calendar, Delivery Frequency Calendar, Collection Calendar, Shipping Calendar, and Transport Calendar.
    Attend relevant purchasing forums to represent planning and communicate back on initiative that affects strategic planning functions.
    Escalate any supplier issues and actively work with the Procurement to resolve.
    Managing systematically and physically quarantined orders and inventory within areas of responsibility.

    Acts as supplier lead for product availability at global distribution centres for all imported goods within the area of responsibility.

    Fully responsible for ensuring the correct stock requirements are conveyed to relevant sup-pliers at product level, taking due consideration of lead-time and other factors (shutdowns, national holidays, etc.)
    Work with existing supply base to improve delivery accuracy versus lead time.
    Analytical approach to work & experience with identifying areas for improvement.
    Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Material Requirement Planning (ERP) and Supply Chain Planning systems.
    Competencies with Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, Power Point etc)
