The in-house operation
The IT department is responsible for and designs the entire IT of the City of Munich. We ensure that IT provision meets the city's current and future needs.

As part of the IT department, we ensure a modern IT and telecommunications infrastructure, implement professional IT solutions and secure the IT operations of the City of Munich with over 1,200 employees in our own company .

As an IT architect for IT infrastructure, you will work at the interface between IT strategy, IT management and operational IT areas.

You not only shape technical IT architectures, but also play a key role in shaping the company architecture.

You will therefore play an important role in IT development planning and be the point of contact for all IT infrastructure issues with a focus on networks and unified communications and collaboration (UCC).

You will work in an IT architecture team of colleagues with a focus on other technical domains. Together, you will shape the city-wide IT architecture and determine the technological development of the City of Munich.

As an expert in your field, you will proactively evaluate technological developments, advise stakeholders and thus support the further development of the city's IT infrastructure.

Your work will not only cover the city's data center, but also the connection and use of cloud services. You will play a key role in determining the architecture modeling and manage its technical implementation. This is done in close coordination with the city's application development and enterprise architecture management.

Many years of experience (at least 3 years) in the field of IT networking or telephony / communication or telecommunications technology or with unified communications & collaboration solutions, several years of experience (at least 2 years) in the IT architecture environment (e.g.

in designing and implementing IT architectures in large organizations and projects), knowledge of architecture frameworks (e.g. togaf e.g. togaf) and architecture modeling languages (e.g. ArchiMate), experience in the design of IT infrastructure architectures or in the implementation of solutions on "on-premises systems" as well as in cloud-based systems and hybrid infrastructures
Knowledge from other domains of infrastructure architecture
Experience in the use of "ServiceNow" for IT architecture or IT service management
Certifications in the area of Enterprise Architecture Management
