    The role is for a Control and Automation Engineer with suitable experience to join our Bacton based ONEGas Control & Automation Strategy team.

    The successful candidate will be assigned to the multidiscipline team and will act as owner of automation systems, networks, hardware, and software in this area.

    Shift coverage may be required for special events such as unit upset, start-ups and shutdowns. Out of hours call-out support as part of a rota to troubleshoot and resolve system issues will be required.

    In this role, you will act as a Control and Automation Engineer supporting both onshore and offshore assets through the care and custody of IT based operational assets, providing front-line maintenance.

    The core Industrial Automation Control Systems (IACS) are Siemens Cromos 2000, Honeywell Experion, along with Yokogawa Centum DCS and ProSafe-RS systems.

    Your role will involve delivering operational excellence in the fields of health and safety and operational system support through time critical maintenance for IACS hosts and direct control room support.

    Provide technical support to modifications & projects on all matters relating to the system design, selection, specification, construction, factory acceptance testing, commissioning and performance of equipment associated to the Process Control Domain
    Have ownership of Master Alarm Databases and act as a facilitator for Alarm Management review sessions

    With a relevant technical diploma or mature qualifications and or experience, you will have an experience in DCS and safety systems and management of network devices and hosts, ideally gained in the onshore/offshore oil and gas industry.

    You will have a good understanding of windows-Programable Logic Controller based technologies and cyber security hygiene practices as they relate to oil and gas production facilities.

    Higher National Certificates / Higher National Diplomas in the Control and Automation discipline of equivalent topic with industry exposure
    Considerable customer focus, inter- personal skills, and commercial approach
    Initiative, expertise, and energy to identify, promote and contribute to a broad range of business opportunities
    Must be able to work offshore
