- Technical lead for the group, and the 'goto' person for accounting advice
- Audit lead for group, taking responsibility for controlling and delivering a clean audit, on time and without issue
- Lead the group consolidation to culminate in an accurate, timely and meaningful reporting pack
- Drive efficiency and cost savings within the finance team and wider business through automation projects
- Manage banking relationships
- Create insightful management information for central headoffice cost function
- Support the CFO with due diligence on mergers and acquisitions
- Strong technical finance and accounting experience, likely to be big 4 trained
- Professionally qualified ([ideally] ACA, ACCA, ACMA) with a strong academic record
- Group consolidation
- Able to demonstrate an understanding of the balance between technical financial accounting and the commercial world
- Experience of M&A would be advantageous, with exposure to performing due diligence on acquisitions desirable
- Demonstrable experience of an understanding of privatelyowned businesses
- Take pride in the presentation of work to a high/professional standard
- A selfstarter, willing to commit to a plan of action and carry it out, seeking direction where appropriate
- Strong management skills
- Excellent communicator and organiser
