The main purpose of the role is to provide operational support to the client as part of the Services Team including but not limited to crane operations, deck crew, emergency response, lifeboat coxswain, platform maintenance activities and other general duties under the direction of the client and Services Team Leader.
Crane Operations:
- Operate platform pedestal cranes when required under the direction of nominated platform personnel and in accordance with the authorised operator's instructions manual and platform operating procedures, Company QA system, Standing Instructions and other relevant documentation.
- To carry out daily routine checks on the crane in accordance with the maintenance procedures and prestart checklist.
- To carry out routine first line crane maintenance duties including greasing, lubrication, oil changes, filter changes and other crane machinery lubrication duties in accordance with the maintenance routines, manufacturers' manuals and service charts.
- To maintain cranes in a clean, tidy and where applicable, watertight condition, including cabs, machinery housings and external surfaces. External and internal paintwork should be retained in a corrosion free condition.
- To assist maintenance personnel in routine maintenance and repair activities.
Deck Operations:
- Perform Banksman/Slinger duties when required under direction of the Services Team Leader and Deck & Materials Controller during load/discharge of materials from supply vessel and platform routine cargo lifting operations.
Emergency Response:
- To act as a member of the platforM/Field Emergency Response Team including Fire Team.
- To act as a Lifeboat Coxswain (Twinfall) for the platforM/Field TEMPSC.
General Duties:
- Support platform maintenance / services teams with routine activities in line with sphere of competency.
- Conduct routine platform clean ups and support critical supply replenishments.
- Take an active role in contributing to an Incident Free Workplace (IFW) by participation in client safety programs, initiatives and systems.
- It is mandatory that the incumbent is familiar with the Company's HSEQ Policy and takes an active role in the compliance and improvement of Sparrows Integrated Management System. The incumbent must report any incidents, near misses, actual or potential problems with products, services or systems to their Line Manager.
- The incumbent also has legal responsibilities under countryspecific health and safety legislation to follow all Company processes and procedures and familiarise themselves with the emergency response arrangements applicable to them. The incumbent is also responsible for the health and safety arrangements of subordinates (if any) and for any persons visiting them while on the Company premises.

- NVQ Level 3 Maintenance qualification or willing to work towards
- NVQ Level 3 / OPITO Stage 3 Rigging & Lifting or willing to work towards
