- Schedule workload priorities and machine maintenance
- Management of the Maintenance staff to ensure maintenance and repairs are carried out with excellence
- Make an effective contribution to improve product quality and operational performance
- Assist skilled workers with hands on duties when required
- Focus on improvements throughout the plant
- Carrying out staff appraisals and identifying training requirements
- Supervise other employees on the site
- Work overtime as and when required
- Assisting with the development and improvement of manufacturing equipment by streamlining current maintenance practices.
- Aid in the commission of new equipment by integrating recommended maintenance and safety checks into the current CMMS.
- Mechanically biased
- An apprentice time served or graduate engineer
- A qualified engineer to at least HNC level
- Experience in high volume manufacturing but not in heavy industry.
- A good appreciation of tight tolerances (0.05mm)
- Experience of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (Prior Knowledge of Shire Systems Pirana CMMS would be an advantage)
- Supervisory experience is essential
- Must have good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Able to work under pressure
- Candidates will need to demonstrate good teamwork and problem solving skills as there is a need to work closely with others to successfully complete individual and plant objectives throughout the year
