    Description

    Position Summary

    To sustain and proactively improve manufacturing equipment at the site.

    Manage the MRO Engineering Spares Store and associated store person.

    Responsibilities

  • Schedule workload priorities and machine maintenance
  • Management of the Maintenance staff to ensure maintenance and repairs are carried out with excellence
  • Make an effective contribution to improve product quality and operational performance
  • Assist skilled workers with hands on duties when required
  • Focus on improvements throughout the plant
  • Carrying out staff appraisals and identifying training requirements
  • Supervise other employees on the site
  • Work overtime as and when required
  • Assisting with the development and improvement of manufacturing equipment by streamlining current maintenance practices.
  • Aid in the commission of new equipment by integrating recommended maintenance and safety checks into the current CMMS.
  • What we are looking for

  • Mechanically biased
  • An apprentice time served or graduate engineer
  • A qualified engineer to at least HNC level
  • Experience in high volume manufacturing but not in heavy industry.
  • A good appreciation of tight tolerances (0.05mm)
  • Experience of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (Prior Knowledge of Shire Systems Pirana CMMS would be an advantage)
  • Supervisory experience is essential
  • Must have good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Candidates will need to demonstrate good teamwork and problem solving skills as there is a need to work closely with others to successfully complete individual and plant objectives throughout the year
