About the role of Associate Principal Chemist - Catalysis:

Join our process chemistry teams, working on the design, execution, analysis, documentation and interpretation of screenings and optimisations to fast deliver optimal and scalable solutions for chemical transformation, including catalytic reactions.


You will deliver change through innovation and the use of technology, as well as adopt and champion a data-informed digital mindset to accelerate innovation and improve efficiency.

Your Impact as Associate Principal Chemist - Catalysis:

This position requires laboratory experimentation, participation on the API project team and collaboration with scientists from the Analytical vertical and other disciplines to further develop synthetic routes into synthetic processes.


You will foster and strengthen our capabilities by maintaining a state-of-the-art laboratory, implementing relevant and innovative technologies and optimising workflows.


Requirements for Associate Principal Chemist - Catalysis:

  • A PhD in chemistry (desirable)
  • Extensive industry experience
  • Extensive experience in homogenous catalysis
  • Detailed understanding of organic synthesis, scaleup and process chemistry
  • Experience in heterogeneous catalysis (desirable)
  • Expertise in the use of practical synthetic chemistry techniques
  • The ability to employ analytical tools, computational and statistical methodology, and automated laboratory technologies to enhance process development efficiency is desirable

  • Competitive salary: £44,000 £55,000 per annum (depending on experience + negotiable)
