    Description

    The Opportunity:

    This post is a full time, open ended one based at EDINA,University of Edinburgh. The post is a hybrid one with the post-holder excepted to be at least one day a week campus based. The post-holder will lead on the management and strategic direction for a suite of key national geospatial services supporting a broad user base across all phases of education. The post holder will report directly to the Head of Services.

    Your skills and attributes for success:

    You will have good Honours degree and a postgraduate degree in the area of geospatial science, plus 3-5 years related experience (Desirable).

    You will have knowledge of research and commercial activities in the geospatial arena with in depth knowledge of Geographic Information technology and its application within customer-centric service delivery contexts.

    Ability to negotiate and close new contracts as well as financial ability to cost services.

    £45,585 to £54,395 per annum (A revised salary range for this grade of £48,350 to £59,421 is planned to take effect from Spring 2024)
