Techniche Global are supporting an engineering defence contractor to appoint a Principal Electrical Engineer. Supporting a Major Defence Infrastructure project, you'll work with multi-discipline infrastructure system designs to provide an overall sustainmentcapability.

Using your experience in facility upgrade or construction projects you will manage and review the design packages by subconsultants and work with users and other stakeholders to ensure that the integrated facility provides the sustainment capability.

You willuse your electrical engineering expertise to ensure the end product meets the technical and operational requirements of the facility.


Rate:
£70p/hr UMB


Location:
Remote/Devonport

Duration: 12 months+

SC Clearance


Key requirements:

  • Responsible for ensuring the delivery of the electrical engineering aspects of the Dock Bottom village and Marshalling Area.
  • Ensure systems are designed against a clear statement of compliance with defined requirements, including demonstration that the design meets relevant HSE requirements.
  • Support the delivery of electrical engineering work packages to the required scope, quality, schedule and cost.

Key Skills:

You will have experience of:

  • Design of high and low voltage electrical distribution systems;
  • Design of control & instrumentation systems;
  • Design of Communications and data systems;
  • Design of electrical building services;
  • Design of fire detection systems;
  • Design of public address systems;
  • Design of lighting systems;
  • Design of lightning protection systems;
  • Design of CCTV/Security systems;
  • Management of subcontractors.
  • A minimum of a Batchelor's Degree in Electrical/Control Engineering
  • Preferred Chartered Engineer, registered with Engineering Council.
  • Preferred Nuclear Introductory Course or equivalent nuclear knowledge
