Benchdogs have an exciting opportunity to join their team as CNC Operators in our growing company. What is Benchdogs? We design and manufacture our woodworking precision products which are sold across the whole world.

As an experienced CNC Operator, you will have at least 4 years of experience running CNC Siemans controlled machines.

You will have a good understanding of engineering drawing and will be able to operate a CNC milling machine unsupervised to produce conforming parts.

You could monitor tool wear and change tooling when needed and set up for new jobs. With a sound knowledge of measuring equipment, you can control all dimensions of the parts produced.

There will be opportunities for progression within this role.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Maintain equipment, setup and operate CNC Milling and turning machines
  • Understand manufacturing drawings
  • Create CNC programs for siemens control
  • Make adjustments to established CNC programs with mínimal supervision
  • Select and adjust tooling changes as needed with mínimal supervision
  • Designing of diamond turning jigs and fixtures
  • Inspect and measure parts to ensure conformity to specified tolerances
  • Attention to detail

Experience, attributes & skills sought:


  • 4 years of experience in CNC machining
  • Strong Machine Operative experience
  • GCSE or equivalent qualifications in English & Maths
  • Ability to use precision measuring tools
  • Ability to read drawings
  • Continuous improvement through process development
  • Knowledge of manual handling

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Pay:
£26,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
