Our client is looking for a Health & Social Care Tutor, you will teach from their Education and Training Centre based in central Ipswich, where you will inspire and lead young people to achieve and progress onto greater opportunities.

You will effectively plan your engaging courses, set, and review targets, track learners progress, assess and submit work to ensure deadlines are met enabling learners to achieve.

From you creating an enriching programme with varied teaching styles and experiences all will have fun and identify where the programme can lead them onto.

Your job is to make sure that all learners and Apprentices meet the occupational standards needed to achieve their apprenticeship qualifications and demonstrate the required levels of competence, including the delivery of Functional Skills in maths and English up to Level 2.

This role combines teaching and training duties with the assessment work.

Essential Requirements for the Role

  • Must have a teaching qualification such as PTLLS/AET or equivalent
  • Confident with 11 and group delivery
  • Flexible travel for facetoface teaching as post holder must be able to travel in Essex, Kent, Hertfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk. As well as be comfortable teaching live online sessions
Main Tasks & Responsibilities

  • To deliver 1:1 and group based training to learners both facetoface and online
  • Prepare, plan and deliver quality teaching and learning to ensure timely completion in line with company procedures and timescales
  • Assess learners and provide progress feedback to learners and provide support to ensure they meet their set goal/target
  • Support learners to pass through Gateway into endpoint assessment
  • Ensure learners complete their online induction within 12 weeks of starting their apprenticeship
  • Work with learners to support them in their English and maths learning aims and prepare for them to sit exams timely
  • Plan and agree with learners for them to complete their offthejob training regularly and in line with funding rule requirements
  • Carry out regular progress reviews with learners every 810 weeks along with a scorecard and ensure this is recorded
  • Ensure the learning journal of all learners is kept updated at all times
  • Teaching, learning and assessment plans must be compiled with learners every visit and stored online
  • Ensure that your outlook calendar is always updated as per company guidelines
  • Respond to learners and employers timely and within 48 hours of receipt
  • Provide employers with updated information at every visit and encourage them to attend review meetings
  • Provide impartial information, advice and guidance to motivate and encourage learners throughout their programme. Recording such evidence at the start, middle and end of their apprenticeship
  • Organise and maintain documentation on learners' progress
  • Be able to support learners to overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner's needs
  • Attend relevant induction and training meetings as required including standardisation and team meetings
  • Undertake regular CPD activity for dual professionalism and record this using company documents
  • Ensure that any breaks in learning or withdrawals are reported to the Appreicetship Manager immediately once routes have been exhausted to keep
