Job Description Summary:

We are recruiting for an experienced Supplier Specialist to join our busy team at Cheltenham, Gloucestershire and leading Professional Services and labour Commodity for Aerospace Europe.


In this role you will be integral in managing all business activities relating to communicating and translating business objectives, programs and processes.

In addition to this, managing negotiations with suppliers for new products, services and processes, to ensure a detailed understanding of strategies for assigned commodities and lead initiatives to meet with sourcing objectives.


Roles and Responsibilities:


  • Lead Cheltenham Indirect Sourcing team and lead Professional Services and Labour commodity for GE Aerospace EU.
  • Provide oversight to large suppliers or Business Process Outsourcing. Ensure Business Process Outsourcing compliance with SLAs and act as the primary point of contact on all service level issues and resolution.
  • Utilizes indepth knowledge of a discipline and analytical thinking to execute policy/strategy. Basic knowledge of related job disciplines.
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.
  • Use judgment and has the ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated, daytoday problems.
  • Has ability to prioritize information for data analysis. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking.

Required Qualifications:


  • This role requires advanced experience in Sourcing & Supplier Management.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
This role offers hybrid working, though 60% of the time should be on site. Also travel to other Aerospace sites within UK and wider EU will, on occasion, be required.

New starters will need to work full time at site for the first few weeks for induction & training purposes.
