SENIOR DATA ENGINEER

LONDON BASED

£70,000-80,000 PER ANNUM
The fastest-growing insure-tech company in the UK are searching for a new Senior Data Engineer.

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be building new Data pipelines using Python and transforming the company's processes from Batch work, towards real-time Datastreaming using Kafka.


THE COMPANY
This fast-growing insure-tech company focus on providing smaller businesses with insurance on a monthly basis.

The company are focussing on building a new product that uses machine learning tools to match businesses with the correct insurance plan for them.

They have recently secured £9.6million of investment and are expanding based off this new financial backing.


THE ROLE
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be joining a fast-paced working environment with friendly and talented colleagues. You will be responsible for delivering new data infrastructures within the company, to allow Machine Learning capabilities.

  • Integrate Data from multiple sources, into an AWSbased database.
  • Building new Data Pipelines using Python
  • Be responsible for maintaining high standards of code within the business.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Extensive experience using Python or Scala.
  • Commercial experience with SQL
  • Background in stream processing using Kafka
  • Experience in analytical warehouse technologies such as Snowflake.
