Yard Store Person - Civil Engineering

We are looking to appoint a Full-time, permanent Yard Store Person to a work nine-hour shift to support the Depot Manger with distribution and managment of plant, material and stock.

The role will be based at our head office in Chadwell St Mary, Essex. Monday - Friday, 07:00hrs - 17:00hrs (on site attendance is essential).


Overview of the role:

The Yard Store Person is primarily responsible for distributing/issuing materials, in accordance with orders, maintaining fleet and plants. Including on and off hires, damage reporting and stock recoding and control.

Other duties include but are not limited to:

• Signing in and out of the owned plant.
• Monitoring of diesel supply and usage.
• Assisting depot manager, when not out on deliveries with general depot tasks. Including but not limited to, loadingunloading vehicles, general tidying and organising of storage areas.
• Signing in and out of sundry materials.
• Maintaining good housekeeping of the yard.
• Have excellent organisation skills.
• Have good personal time management.
• Have good attention to detail.
• Be initiativetaking with the ability to work independently and take initiative when required.
• Have flexibility to adapt to changing demands.
• Be happy to work outdoors
• UK DRIVING LICENCE HELD FOR 2 YEARS MINIMUM
• 21 and older due to insurance
• English communication skills at a very good level are essential

£95.00-£100.00 per day

• Yard or civil engineering: 1 year (preferred)
