    Description

    Applications are welcomed by NHS Tayside for Fixed Term ST1 Clinical Fellow in Acute Medicine. There are a number of posts available and the successful candidate will be based at Ninewells Hospital.

    This post will commence in May 2024 and is for 3 months in the first instance.

    Applicants must have successfully completed Foundation training or the equivalent.

    The posts will involve a rotation through the Acute Medicine Unit.

    All posts include:

  • protected development time of up to a half day per week
  • study leave of 10 days per 6 months
  • a study budget of £250 per post per 6 months
  • a named mentor for the duration of the post
  • experience within acute care environments such as AMU
  • ability to attend local teaching such as for PACES
  • Out of hours work will be on the AMU ST1/2 rota, which is supported by resident on call Registrars at all times. Applications to work daytime hours only, with no out of hours commitment, will be considered.

    These posts provide an excellent opportunity for doctors who wish to develop their experience in different medical specialities, gain experience in quality improvement and teaching, or who require a clinical post to support completion of postgraduate exams.
