    • Implemented buddy system for all training - enabling you to learn alongside experienced Transport Supervisors and the Fleet Logistics Manager.

    Working Hours:

    Nights (19:00pm - 07:00am, 4 nights on & 4 nights off)

    Salary:

    £16.20 per hour

    Responsibilities as a Transport Supervisor in Tewkesbury:

    • Leading, supervising, and coordinating a team of HGV Drivers, Tanker Drivers, Shunters, and Banksmen in the Tewkesbury Haulage & Distribution Office. Collaborating with various departments and clients to ensure smooth distribution and prompt resolution of any issues.
    • Working alongside the Office Administrator to ensure accurate paperwork completion and filing, supporting overnight HGV Drivers, and coordinating with Management.
    • Maintaining high hygiene standards in the workplace.
    • Providing training, coaching, and mentoring to team members, in addition to fulfilling other duties as instructed by supervisors or managers.
    • Operating machinery and equipment safely, adhering to environmental standards to minimize wastage, ensuring health and safety of yourself and colleagues.
    • Supervising all drivers to guarantee timely deliveries and top-notch customer service.
    • Ensuring correctness of all paperwork and documentation when drivers return to the site.
    • Efficiently planning and using available resources.

    Required Skills & Qualifications:

    • Prior experience as a Transport Supervisor.
    • Valid HGV Driving License.
    • Current CPC and Digital Driver's Card.
    • A proactive and practical approach to problem-solving.
    • Excellent time management skills, capable of working independently and as part of a team.
    • Comfortable with tight deadlines and flexible shift work.

    Desirable Skills:

    • Experience in the dairy or similar food production industry.
