We are looking for a new team member, to join our Medical Affairs team.


The position

  • The purpose of the position is to lead the development of local and regional medical advisory (RMA) services for HCPs in support of short, medium and longterm local and national business needs and strategic objectives.
  • You will be responsible for developing a local influencer network through identifying, contacting, developing and maintaining relations with key influencers and major institutions in the health care sector:
  • Contribute to development of cardiovascular Medical Affairs strategy and plan in association with medical leadership team based on the insights of the unmet needs of patients, HCPs, and health systems.
  • Generate and respond to actionable HCP insights to influence medical content development roadmap.
  • Responding to unsolicited requests for medical information from HCPs and the scientific community including information relating to Onlabel or offlabel use of licenced Novo Nordisk products/ Unlicenced Novo Nordisk products/ Disease states or basic science.
  • Partner with healthcare systems and medical associations to identify and develop solutions along clinical care pathways to support improved patient outcomes.
  • In addition to that, your other focuses will be ensuring compliance and providing internal trainings.
    Qualifications
  • In order to qualify for the role you should be a GMC registered doctor, or UK registered pharmacist, or a PhD in related area (cardiovascular/metabolic) and fulfil at least one of the below criteria.
  • You have clinical experience of working within cardiovascular and/or metabolic disease area in the UK
  • You have worked in medical affairs department of pharmaceutical industry in cardiovascular or metabolic disease
  • We also expect you to have:
  • Strong communication and networking capability, as well as excellent presentation and facilitation skills
  • Strong scientific credibility
  • Knowledge of UK health care systems
  • Experience and willingness to work in an international matrix organisation
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
