    Description

    HMS are recruiting Joiners to become part of an integrated team for the delivery of a first-class construction and maintenance service.

    This is an important role in which you will:

    • Carry out all types of Joinery work both internally and externally, including maintenance, remedial works, working with plastic and composite products.
    • Measure, cut, and shape wood, laminate, and other materials to precise specifications for installation.
    • Install and fit doors, windows, kitchen units, wardrobes, and other joinery items with precision and accuracy.
    • Conduct repairs and refurbishments to existing joinery fixtures, ensuring they are structurally sound and aesthetically pleasing.
    • Collaborate with other tradespeople and project managers to coordinate work schedules and ensure timely completion of projects.
    • Always adhere to health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment for yourself and others.
    • Communicate effectively with residents, providing clear information about work being carried out and addressing any concerns or queries they may have.
    • Maintain accurate records of work undertaken, materials used, and any relevant documentation.
    • Be given a company van;
    • Utilise IT and communications equipment;
    • Operate within a scheduled appointment system;
    • Undertake individual or corporate training and development.

    To be successful in this role you need:

    • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Joinery or Craft Discipline;
    • Time served apprenticeship;
    • Experience of Joinery, building maintenance & construction activities;
    • CSCS card at appropriate level;
    • Full UK or EU driving license.
