The Opportunity:

Can you stop someone's scroll in its tracks? As our Thumbnail Editor you will be responsible for developing data-driven creative concepts, compositing and designing out those concepts at speed and to a super high quality. A strong understanding of photoshop and photo manipulation is essential to succeed in this role. You will work closely with the production and editing team to create world-class data-informed thumbnails for Youtube that delivers on the promise of our videos to drive the maximum clicks and view duration.

Key Responsibilities

• Ability to concept new and original ideas based on experimentation and a data science approach
• Generate realistic/eye catching thumbnails using photoshop and photo manipulation skill
• Stay up to date with current trends/best practices within the thumbnail space
• Coordinate with the production and editing team to make sure we are capturing all assets necessary for the creation of our thumbnails to deliver on video promise
• Collaborating with other team members to generate the best designs possible

Requirements

Must Haves

• Strong photoshop experience
• Advanced in photo manipulation
• Great understanding of visual design principles and elements
• Understanding of data analysis and data informed decision making
• Working knowledge of graphic/visual trends in thumbnail design
• Strong attention to deadlines and schedules
• Flexibility to adapt with changing timelines and deliverables
• Passionate about YouTube
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment while consistently exemplifying our culture and values
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively, which can regularly require working outside of Monday-Friday
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to clearly communicate ideas and concepts, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Nice To Haves

• A keen interest in AI & examples of how it has or will create optimal Editing outcomes
• 3D experience
• Ability to create hand drawn concepts

Location

• London - Shoreditch ~ we are an in-person-first culture and believe in fostering a vibrant and work environment centred around connection and community.
• Some roles will require global travel so flexibility in this aspect is important and your hiring manager will confirm this with you during the interview process
