About the job:

Office based at RG27 8LJ, with visits to client sites

Small, but busy practice of 6 established 23 years ago

Mixed portfolio and individuals and SME clients

Reporting to Lead Partner/Accountant

Immediate start possible
What the role includes:

Preparing and submitting annual statutory accounts under FRS102 and FRS105 from books and records provided

Preparing annual accounts for sole traders, landlords and partnerships

Drafting personal and corporate tax returns

Preparing management accounts and reports for clients

Preparing and submitting client VAT Returns to HMRC

Budgeting, cashflow planning and evaluations

Preparing weekly and monthly payroll and pension submissions

Registering clients for VAT, PAYE, CIS, Self Assessment and incorporation with Companies House

Dealing with ad-hoc queries arising for clients and those arising in the course of preparing figures for them

Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients

Building and maintaining relationships with clients

Managing office work and deadlines with HMRC and Companies House
Requirements:

Qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience accountant

Minimum of 3 years working within a similar accountancy practice

Competent knowledge of accountancy software

Friendly and approachable to work in a small team and dealing with Clients

Motivated and organised to manage work load in a timely basis with high attention to detail
