As a Barclays Financial Business Partner, you will be providing insightful reporting and analytics to senior management while developing and owning the performance story.
You will present the commercial narrative for our business and support the progression and execution of strategic projects across the Business Partnering team.
While acting as a point of contact for various teams, you will also partner with peers in other interrelated areas to develop the processes, controls and data flows as the operating model evolves.

What will you be doing?
- Delivering regular reporting for the management team, this includes management meetings and forums, Board and ExCo meetings and quarterly external results
- Working effectively with colleagues and peers to deliver IB, Markets and Investment Banking analysis that is consistent, accurate and thoroughly understood for external disclosures
- Understanding and presenting the commercial story, proactively question and challenge to enable a high quality and complete delivery to stakeholders as well as thinking forward
- Performing additional support adhoc requests for reporting e.g. for Regulators or strategic projects for senior management
- Partnering with teams across Finance including Group Reporting, Business BP&A, Investor Relations, Regulatory Relations, Planning and Stress Testing and Cost on financials or projects
- Ensuring effective quality control, understanding handins and data flows to the team that guarantee accurate MI
- Embedding a culture of questioning and challenge to go the extra mile to understand what is being produced and what further value add analysis could be proactively undertaken
- Embedding a culture of continuous improvement within the team and work closely with colleagues to achieve this
What we're looking for:
- Degree qualification as a minimum, or equivalent experience
- Qualified accountant or financial analyst (CIMA/ACA/CFA or equivalent)
- Understanding of external reporting requirements and internal performance reporting frameworks
- Great ability to form a commercial story and communicate to senior management at the appropriate level
Skills that will help you in the role:
- Commercial knowledge of the Investment Bank businesses
- Appreciation of Treasury, Capital, Liquidity and legal entity considerations for a global bank
