Overview
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the finance team, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and financial reporting
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting
- Provide financial guidance and analysis to senior management to support decision
- Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes, including the preparation of monthly management accounts and cash flow forecasts
- Monitor and report on financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to optimize financial results
- Manage relationships with banks, corporate accountants, auditors, tax authorities, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements, including tax, VAT, and payroll regulations.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks and implement effective risk management strategies
Qualifications and Experience
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA). Experience within manufacturing business is desirable but not essential.
- Strong technical accounting skills
- Excellent knowledge of financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- Ability to develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to nonfinance stakeholders
- Knowledge of tax, VAT, and payroll regulations
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to problemsolving
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment
Job Type and Place of Work
- Fulltime (40 hours a week on nineday fortnight)
