Are you looking to use your established machining knowledge and experience to join an experienced team making varied components in busy machine shop environment?


A CNC setter machinist is required at our PALL Redruth site so that we can keep step with our forecast customer growth.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Effectively and efficiently set/operate machines using the planning sheets, tooling, gauges and material provided.
  • Meet daily production targets and fulfill customer orders to the highest quality and standards in a safe and compliant manner
  • Maintain a good volume of work through the machine using the guidelines of times given on the Planning Sheets or a time given as a result of a time request

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Competent in the use of NC machine tools, measuring equipment, planning sheets, operator inspection
  • ONC/HNC or equivalent qualification (Craftsman) or skill centre course/inhouse trained (skilled)
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and instructions
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Continuous improvement activities such as problem solving and 5S
  • 3 shift working
  • Minimum 3 years experience of a production environment
