    2020 Recruitment is working with one of our Fife based manufacturing clients who are looking to add a QC Inspector to their Glenrothes site on a permanent contract.

    This is an opportunity to work for an engineering company who manufacture critical precision components & assemblies to exacting quality standards, across multiple industries.

    As the QC Inspector you will play a key role in ensuring machined components are fully compliant with stringent client and licensed standards whilst providing a balance between cost-effectiveness and quality control.

    The Role

    As the QC Inspector you will ensure correct implementation of quality plans and monitor the pipeline of QC Inspection activities for all testing on a daily basis. This is a critical role within the operation of the business and as such requires a high degree of competency in the use of measurement and gauging as well as the drive to monitor and improve methods.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    As the QC Inspector your duties and responsibilities will include:

    • Inspecting all machined and manufactured parts.
    • Reviewing and approving all material certification.
    • Allocating trace numbers to work orders.
    • Maintaining the calibration system.
    • Hosting 3rd party inspectors.
    • All other requirements within the QC department.
    • Be fully aware of personal workload, prioritise and organise to ensure deadlines are achieved.
    • Ensure a high standard of professionalism is maintained and that customer care is foremost.
    • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in the work area and department.
    • Ensure personal compliance with all HSE legislation and HSE Company policy.

    Skills & Experience

    To be considered for the QC Inspector you must have the following skills and experience:

    • Proven experience in quality assurance or a similar role
    • Ability to analyse data and identify trends or patterns
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Computer literacy (including good command of Microsoft Office - Excel, Word and Outlook)
    • Right to work in the UK
