    We are delighted to be working with a market leading business based in Ipswich town centre who are looking to hire a Senior IT Engineer to join their team. Working within an internal IT team and working alongside 3rd Party IT Service providers you will play a crucial role in providing 3rd line technical assistance, troubleshooting, and resolving IT issues for colleagues across multiple sites.

    Going through a period of growth this role will lead a number of exciting new infrastructure and Security projects, 50% Security, 50% Infrastructure....

    What is the job?

    • Provide third line technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in person. Resolve hardware and software issues promptly and effectively.
    • Provide an escalation point for technically demanding support issues, assist in their resolution if required and support the overall objectives of the IT function as a whole.
    • Be responsible for a number new infrastructure and security projects and upgrades across a complex business.
    • Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
    • Management of third-party IT suppliers.
    • Working on challenging cloud infrastructure, security solutions and change.
    • Supporting sys admins for ERP/CRM

    What do you need?

    • Proven track record across a range of IT and infrastructure with a hands-on approach
    • Experience with cloud infrastructure – Azure, AWS, GCP etc
    • Understanding of security frameworks and concepts (Cyber Essentials, NIST, MFA, Contextual Access)
    • Technical Project Management experience - particularly in a change management environment, would be a plus.
    • Familiarity with network concepts, protocols, and configurations - including experience in multi-site networking.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with customer-centric approach.
