We're looking for outgoing and understanding individuals with a positive attitude to join our teams in East Dunbartonshire as
Support Practitioners.

We have 20 to 30 hour contracts available.


We recruit on values and transferrable skills, so you don't need experience or qualifications to start your career with us. We have our own Training Academy that'll give you all the skills you'll need, including the opportunity to complete a fully funded SVQ Level 3.


The Role


As a Support Practitioner you will provide support with all aspects of daily living, including cooking and meal preparation, personal care, administering medical and managing personal finances.

As well as helping the people we support in their own homes, you'll support them to do the things they want to do out in the community, including accompanying them on outings and attending health appointments, and support them to maintain relationships with their friends and family.

You'll take an active role in the planning and delivery of person-centred care and be supportive and encourage the people we support to express their wishes and views.

By taking a person centred and outcomes focused approach, you will get to know the people we support as individuals, encourage their independence and help them recognise their potential.

As well as working in our fun and friendly team there will be aspects of lone working in your role.

To be a great Support Practitioner we will need you have the following qualities;

  • Committed to improving the lives of the people we support.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive, respectful relationships with colleagues, including other agencies and health professionals.
  • Competent in the use of technology to enhance the support you provide.
  • Reliable and flexible to meet the needs of the people we support.

Shift Patterns
As we're dedicated to providing around the clock support tailored to the needs of each individual. Shift patterns vary between services and some roles will include sleepovers and Waking Nights.


Our sleepover shifts do not form part of your contracted hours, so you will receive an additional payment of £84.00 for an 8 hour sleep-over, £94.50 for a 9 hour sleep-over or £105.00 for a 10 hour sleep-over depending on the needs of the service. For our Waking Night roles, you will receive an additional £20 per night on top of your hourly rate.**
