    The Team

    Podium is the home of sport, entertainment, arts & culture in the Freuds Group. We have a strategic communications experts and publicists working across these specialist areas, while also offering the opportunity to support a variety of clients across the Group. The division works closely with team across Freud Communications, offering unrivalled connectivity, experiences, and opportunities.     The Role

    Freuds has an established cultural legacy, starting in the 1980s with Live Aid. In our 40th anniversary year, we are seeking an experienced Associate Director to join our arts, and corporate film/TV team at an exciting time. The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of corporate entertainment, arts & culture and will assist with running the account teams, new business development and day-to-day management of accounts across a range of consumer arts and corporate media projects in some of the UK's most renowned cultural institutions.

    It's crucial that the successful candidate has an ability to provide counsel to a broad range of clients, from high art to popular culture, as the team works across the full spectrum including 50% of the role working with retained corporate TV and film production clients.

    You will be a creative storyteller and an expert in your cultural field, with the ability to develop and deliver impactful earned publicity campaigns that generate excellent results. You will be adept at giving strong strategic direction and confident in sharing your sector expertise and experience. You will be a team player and when necessary, get stuck in to ensure delivery within short timelines. You will have a key role in driving the creative ambition of the client and will have a keen awareness of what makes a news or feature story and have high level cultural media contacts. You will have an understanding of the news agenda that enables you to proactively build profile and also minimise risk, as well as a keen digital first creative drive in your campaigns. You will thrive at networking and relish the opportunity to bring new business ideas to the table, as well as having a black book of established cultural contacts that provide opportunity for our clients.     Responsibilities:

    • Developing creative communications strategies and campaigns ensuring their successful delivery, working closely with strategy and creative teams to ensure effective planning
    • Securing the confidence of the client and colleagues as a senior communications advisor and operational member of the team on a wide range of consumer and corporate campaigns; across earned, social, experiential
    • Contributing strategy, solutions and proactively introducing new ideas to improve our offering
    • Proactively building internal and external networks with colleagues, opinion leaders, culture and wider journalists, professional associations, online influencers and other relevant third parties
    • Line managing and mentoring junior team members, including responsibility for their evaluation and professional development
    • Working closely with the Business Director on the account, ensuring they have oversight of current and upcoming activations
    • Enthusiasm and a 'can-do', proactive attitude
    • Promoting a supportive working environment for your team, demonstrating exceptional leadership qualities and lead by example in your commitment to your role
    • You will have the ability to work at both senior client level and flex to a more operational publicist level when required to hit tight deadlines
    • Strong project manager – holding the right balance between knowing the necessary detail and ensuring more junior team report back effectively
    • You will have gravitas to hold a room of senior clients and agency partners
    • You are an excellent proposal writer; you are succinct and focused with pitching of ideas to clients
    • Ability to deliver strategically led creative campaigns
    • Flexible in the way that you work, offering to work across the agency not just in your specialist area as you are dedicated to the success of the wider agency
    • Ability to craft creative stories around hard to sell propositions, using your journalistic nouse
    • Client first mentality – enjoy building lasting relationships with clients on a personal and professional level
    • Ability to manage budgets, including drafting Scopes of Work, proposals and fee forecasting
    • Knowledge and experience of working with high level talent and c-suite, not afraid to step in when sitting in interviews with senior management.
    • Knowledge and experience of overseeing shoots, content creation for earned and owned media
