09Apr2024 A South East based Approved Inspector are currently seeking a Building Control Surveyor of domestic / minor commercial schemes in the vicinity of Brighton and Horsham. Preferably Class 2 'D' registered, or working towards. Managed, qualityfocused workload within a small friendly team of surveyors. Starting salary in the region of £45,000 £50,000, plus bonus, car allowance, 45p per mile, 38 days' annual leave. Building Control Surveyor responsibilities:
Check plans for compliance with the Building Regulations and associated legislation
Issue initial notices, plan certificates, amendment notices and final certificates
Undertake inspection of works and produce reports
At completion of works ensure all relevant inspections have been performed with appropriate certification submitted, and defects/nonconformities addressed before final certification has been issued
Support the training and development of trainee surveyors
Contribute to client meetings
Undertake peer reviews on an adhoc basis
Building Control Surveyor requirements:
Registered Building Inspector status
Class 2 'D'
Interpersonal skills
Effective time management
Maintenance of uptodate Building Regulations knowledge
