To act with appropriate delegated authority as the NEC Supervisor in delivering on highways projects for Buckinghamshire Council. To work with the Contractor to ensure the quality of the product is in accordance with the Specification.

To engage and work with the wider contract administration team to confirm data for the assessment of work done by the Contractor.

Ensure the Contractor adheres to the Contract Specification Testing & Certification requirements within it. Observe the Contractor's working operations for compliance with the Specification and oversee the recording of daily on-going works (plant, people, gangs, weather etc);
Organise and if necessary, inspect works that will be covered up as part of the permanent works.
Agree defective works with the Contractor and record on the site quality systems and within CEMAR.
Ensure Contractor closes out Defects within the timescales within the Contract.

Observe the on-site health and safety aspects of the Contractor's operations and inform the Project Manager of key H&S risks / and or areas for improvement.

Report observed on-site safety issues (near misses, dangerous occurrences, practices) to the Project Manager / Supervisor).
Attendance at meetings as requested by the Project Manager.
Significant relevant work experience within the Highway and Bridge sector including leading a supervision team and technical teams.
Familiar with the MCHW – Specification for Highway Works
