Job overview:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, highly motivated and forward-thinking physiotherapist to lead our community physiotherapy and falls service across Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale.
You will lead an established team of community therapists who deliver falls prevention, amputee rehabilitation and general community rehabilitation to the local population from neighbourhood multi-disciplinary teams.
Effective communication across primary and secondary care is key, as well as advanced skills in providing rehabilitation with complex patients.
Main duties of the job:
You will work as an autonomous practitioner assessing patients' needs and provide therapy using evidenced based clinical skills. You will also be responsible for caseload management, handover of care and service developments providing specialist input when necessary.
Report outcomes for service development and national audits on a continual basis.
Provide training to contribute to ongoing development of a high quality, clinically effective service enabling staff to work within professional and governance frameworks.

Qualifications:
Essential criteria:
- Degree or equivalent in physiotherapy
- HCPC registered
- Evidence of CPD including personal development portfolio relevant to specialism
- Educated to masters module level or be able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge or experiential learning / experience
Desirable criteria:
- Mentoring preregistration students
- Advanced level qualification
- To hold or be willing to undertake accredited leadership qualification
Experience:
Essential criteria:
- Experience in clinical specialism
- Experience of working in community
- Evidence of commitment to sustained professional development including leadership
Desirable criteria:
- Experience as a leader / senior role
- Experience of integrated working
