    MacGregor Blackis currently partnering with aConsumer Goods Business,on the search for aHead of Finance.This is a permanent role based inManchester.

    As theHead of Finance, you will act as the financial collaborator to the CEO and other teams, reporting directly to our COO. Your responsibilities will include owning, enhancing, and future-proofing financial processes, ensuring the accuracy, insightfulness, and timeliness of financial statements and reported figures for both internal and external stakeholders. Ultimately, your role is vital in maintaining the health and integrity of our financial numbers

    Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact and oversee all aspects of finance and financial management for the business.
  • Collaborate closely with the C-Suite to drive short-, mid-, and long-term financial planning, resource allocation, annual budgeting, and ongoing forecasting across all revenue and cost categories.
  • Take the lead in business control, ensuring the continual financial well-being of the UK business by monitoring and controlling top and bottom-line performance, key financial and performance indicators, and the balance sheet.
  • Responsible for managing and analyzing cash flow to optimize financial efficiency.
  • Take ownership of financial administration, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all administrative tasks, including monthly closes, reconciliation, and preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and tax filings.
  • Provide comprehensive financial modeling and insightful analyses to support the senior team in decision-making processes.
  • Drive automation and enhancements in financial processes, developing efficient and future-proof administrative setups to reduce manual work and allow more time for in-depth analysis to improve business outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as commerce, operations, and IT, providing financial support to aid in their decision-making processes.

    What are we looking for?

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in a financial role, previous experience in owning the financial planning and administration of a business is essential
  • A higher degree in Finance, Accounting, (Business) Economics
  • Self-starter, self-sufficient and pro-active, who likes to get things done
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills
  • This is a standalone role and are comfortable in owning that responsibility
  • Experience in cash management, budgeting and forecasting
  • A solid understanding of e-commerce economics, the start-up landscape, and a passion for the consumer segment
  • Experience in establishing new financial processes, and/or introduction of new administrative and business monitoring tools is a plus
  • Prior experience with Exact Online, MySQL, PowerBI
  • You are fluent in English
