    Description
    Position based in Northampton (England), also open, at the candidate's freedom to be located in London or the surrounding area.

    GENERAL DUTIES :

    The Management Controller manages the financial data for the Industrial Activity: Ready-to-wear in England and Bespoke in Paris.

    In this context :
  • He/she analyzes financial data in order to assess the performance of production activities,
  • He/she proposes and implements monitoring and control tools to make information reliable and transparent,
  • He/she identifies areas for improvement in both finance and processes,
  • He/she is responsible for internal control of production activities.
    As Business Partner to the Industrial Director - member of the Management Committee, he/she builds constructive cooperation with him/her.

    The position will be based in England (with regular visits to Paris).

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS :

    1. Controlling

    Industrial Cost Pricing (ICP):
  • Reliability of Standard ICP by item,
  • Updating nomenclatures,
  • Creation of cost prices for new collections, enabling us to define sales prices to customers,
  • Medium-term work on real ICP per item.
    Reporting, KPIs and dashboards:
  • Weekly and monthly reports covering analyses of wholesale sales, production and order volumes, inventories, margins and headcount,
  • Sharing and distribution to the relevant operational staff.
    Accounting closures:
  • Inventory valuation and provisions,
  • Margin analysis,
  • Review of costs (labor, raw materials, materials, etc.), analysis of variances vs. budget and history,
  • Transmission of data to the Consolidation Controlling Manager so that he can close the accounts of JL&Co and JL SAS.
    Budget, re-estimates, B+2:
  • Process management for investments, direct and indirect costs, production capacity, headcount,
  • Recommendation of corrective actions,
  • Transmission of data to the Consolidation Controlling Manager so that he can integrate the data into JL&Co and JL SAS.
    Capital expenditure:
  • Budget monitoring,
  • Optimization of investments by challenging the necessity of each investment,
  • Verification that third parties are properly tendered prior to investment acquisition.
    2. Internal Control
  • Disseminate a spirit of internal control within the workshop and plant,
  • Deploy, adapt and explain Group procedures, and check that they are applied to all aspects of purchasing, safety, inventory, human resources, etc,
  • Carry out periodic internal controls,
  • Draw up and monitor the Internal Control Plan for the 2 production units,
  • Participate in CHIC questionnaires to be forwarded to the Group,
  • Check physical inventories, analyze and comment on discrepancies, and make recommendations to improve results.
    3. Other

  • Tailor-made and By request price management:
  • Maintain and manage rate bases,
  • Validate prices,
  • Monthly reconciliation of Customized sales and invoicing, for transmission to accounting department,
  • Review of monthly hours worked by custom-made craftsmen,
  • Participation in system upgrades: M3/Agora/Navision in collaboration with John Lobb's IT project manager,
  • Participation in site renovation projects.
    PROFILE :
  • Higher education (university or business school)
  • Approx. 6 years' experience as an Industrial Management Controller on site
  • Knowledge of ERP M3
