The Imaging Department based at the Park Centre for Breast Care, near Preston Park, is looking for a new dynamic team member to join our friendly and hardworking team.


If you are an organised and hard working person with good communication and interpersonal skills who can interact with patients and colleagues at all levels with tact and diplomacy and able to prioritise your own workload, then we would love to hear from you.


The role includes reception duties, greeting patients and answering general telephone enquiries from clients and colleagues, handling appointments and organising and preparing clinics.


  • To man the reception area.
  • To greet clients in a polite and respectful manner and protect clients' privacy and
dignity at all times.

  • To check registration data for accuracy and ensure that all details are present on
relevant documentation and that all written documentation is accurate and
legible.

  • To ensure that clients move through the screening/symptomatic process quickly
and efficiently in co-operation with the radiographers on duty.

  • To deal with enquiries from clients and the general public as appropriate.
  • Scanning Request forms on to the CRIS system.
  • To be responsible for the tea, coffee and cold water facilities within the waiting
area.

  • To ensure that the reception area is kept clean and tidy.

  • To provide ad hoc short term cover for other members of the administrative team.
  • To observe strict confidentiality of patient records at all times in accordance with the Information Governance guidelines and General Data Protection Regulations.
  • To use acquired knowledge to inform patients of the benefits of screening and breast awareness.
  • To prioritise own workload while observing department policies.
  • To report any equipment faults or hazardous or potentially dangerous situations.
