This family develops, refines and implements the financial policies, plans, measures and controls to safeguard and accurately report on the financial results of the business


Job Summary
This role works within the Group Finance team.

It owns and delivers all group financial planning and analysis, drives continuous improvement initiatives and ensure effective governance and best practice methodology for the group and field discipline of FP&A.

The role ensures insight into overhead, capex and cash flow performance to all relevant cost centre / budget owners; and provides the framework for analytics and reporting support for all external reporting, including for the Ad Hoc Group, the Lender and the bank

Duties and responsibilities

  • Develops and delivers the finance plans to support a variety of business investigations, models, proposals and decisions that require sound economic research, ensuring that group and field team FP&A activity is aligned with overall strategy, framework and working practices
  • Defines the FP&A toolkit for deployment within group and field financial planning and analytics activity
  • Builds and validates complex business cases in connection with enterprisewide business transformation, ensuring a sound basis for quantifying costs, justifying potential investment and quantifying benefit, in support of Survitec's growth strategy
  • Contributes to the development of Group and Head Office / Marine divisional performance dashboards, monitors key performance indicators, highlights trends and variances, recommending actions to improve
  • Conducts complex research using primary data sources, selecting the most appropriate and sound information sources, identifying and accommodating any key themes and trends
  • Prepares and coordinates the completion of various standard and a hoc data and analytics reports
  • Prepares and presents finding for global and executive board presentations
  • Contributes to the development and delivery of financial policies, guidelines and protocols to ensure the company complies with financial regulations and good practice
  • Resolves queries from internal or external customers or suppliers by providing information on complex processes and related policies, referring to others where necessary for interpretation of policy
