EAL Teaching Assistant - Warwickshire

Are you a Teaching Assistant who has experience supporting speakers of other languages? Do you enjoy heling children overcome barriers to communication? The Education Network is currently recruiting for an EAL Teaching Assistant to support children across Warwickshire.

This role requires an experienced Teaching Assistant who has a valid driving licence and access to a vehicle as you will be traveling between schools in Warwickshire.

As an EAL Teaching Assistant you will primarily be providing support for children who have recently arrived in the UK, many of these children and families have been displaced due to the ongoing conflicts around the world.

This role requires experience workingwith EAL and may be suitable for anyone who has previous experience supporting refugees.

Job Role:

  • Supporting children with English as an Additional Language
  • Travelling to a range of schools to provide intervention support
  • Helping children and families to adjust to life in the UK
  • Providing support for Teaching Assistants and Teachers at school level
  • Liaising with parents who might not speak English
  • Must have a valid driving licence and access to a car
