    DevOps Engineering Lead

    As a Barclays DevOps Engineering Lead, you will be accountable for the Release Management of the Environment landscapes such as SIT, UAT, OAT, and Prod used by Corporate clusters and the accountabilities include setting up end to end test strategy, facilitating tools, frameworks and test data provisioning into deployments. This will be the ideal opportunity for someone with a deep understanding of Unix systems along with a successful track record of cloud technologies like AWS and Openshift.

    What will you be doing?

    • Taking joint ownership and accountability of the CDS Release and Environments team and develop team capabilities, cross skilling where appropriate

    • Co-ordinating and supporting self-service deployments to the pre-production environments and facilitate deployments from external teams on multi-platform system

    • Ensuring 100% environment availability resolving all environments issues within SLAs, which may entail involving infra/GTIS support

    • Maintaining a record of all deployments and provide the weekly KPIs to senior management

    • Leading the team as a key influencer in workflow ,management, process development and contribute to building the culture within CDS

    • Monitoring daily workflows and queues to ensure that service levels are met;

    • Defining performance metrics, actively defining continuous improvements enhancements to drive efficiencies and control throughout release and environment lifecycle events

    • Communicating plans and status clearly to all levels within the organisation

    What we're looking for:

    • Experience of leading multiple technical teams

    • Extensive experience of Application or Technical Support

    • Knowledge on Release, Deployment and Change management process (ITIL)

    • Knowledge in UNIX/Linux/Windows systems

    Skills that will help you in the role:

    • Extensive knowledge of AWS and tools like Chef and Terraform

    • Familiarity with Ab Initio Release procedures

    • Integration Platform build and maintenance experience

    • Knowledge of Automation and build of release pipelines
