    Fundraising Advisor (with VC or start-up background) needed by an intelligence platform that specialises in benchmarking and tracking AI adoption across the banking sector.

    This would be a 3-4 month, fractional contact (2 days a week), starting ASAP.

    Occasional visits to the London office will be required.

    Rate is negotiable - outside IR35

    The ideal candidate will work closely with the founders to refine our financial model, craft compelling pitches, and determine an appropriate valuation for their Series A round. This role requires someone with a deep understanding of the fundraising process, a strategic mindset, and excellent communication skills to engage potential investors effectively.

    RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPERIENCE WITH...

    Financial Model Refinement:

    • Collaborate with the founding team to refine and optimize the financial model, including revenue projections, cost structures, and growth assumptions.
    • Conduct thorough analysis to ensure financial projections are realistic, scalable, and aligned with business objectives.
    • Provide insights and recommendations for optimizing financial performance and capital efficiency.

    Pitch Deck Development:

    • Lead the development of an impactful pitch deck tailored for Series A investors, highlighting value proposition, market opportunity, traction, and growth strategy.
    • Iterate on the pitch deck based on feedback from internal stakeholders and potential investors to continuously improve its effectiveness.

    Valuation Analysis:

    • Conduct comprehensive valuation analysis to determine the company's worth and establish a fair valuation range for the Series A funding round.
    • Evaluate relevant market comparables, industry benchmarks, and financial metrics to support the valuation assessment.
    • Advise on negotiation strategies and tactics to maximize shareholder value while maintaining investor interest and confidence.

    Investor Relations:

    • Identify and cultivate relationships with potential Series A investors, including venture capital firms, angel investors, and strategic partners.
    • Engage in proactive outreach and networking activities to expand the investor network and generate interest in the fundraising round.
    • Represent the company in meetings, presentations, and negotiations with prospective investors, articulating value proposition and investment thesis effectively.

    Due Diligence Support:

    • Provide support during the due diligence process, working closely with legal, finance, and other internal teams to ensure all required documentation and information are readily available and accurate.
    • Address investor inquiries and requests promptly and thoroughly to facilitate a smooth due diligence process and build trust with potential investors.
