    Role: Requirements Management Support to FCAS DT - Trials, Test & ASSC

    Site Location: Boscombe Down

    Rate: £ per day via Umbrella and Inside IR35

    Duration: 12 Month contract

    Position Summary

    The Future Combat Air System (FCAS) as a 6th generation Combat Air System will contain complex systems that incorporates the use of novel technologies and manufacturing methods.

    Within the FCAS MOD Requirements (RM) community there is a need to utilise Suitable Qualified and Experienced personnel (SQEP) in the generation of platform governance and concept of use documentation.

    The UK Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP) Requirements and Engineering teams have a range of requirements including but not limited to Trials, Test and Air System Safety Case (ASSC) activities that bridge across all areas, and are required to meet international and national regulatory requirements.

    Capture and define requirements through a disciplined and rigorous approach to requirements engineering and ask challenging questions about the requirements to ensure understanding.

    Construct and implement systems engineering solutions including detailed design, modelling, performance optimization and technical review.

    • Plan and document system verification including; simulation, analysis, system tests, unit tests, component tests, integration tests, regression tests, stress tests, acceptance tests, qualification tests and flight tests as appropriate.
    • Generate work products conforming to all aspects of technical and quality requirements by following robust configuration control, review and change management processes.
    • Assist in the compilation of plans, estimates, task lists and risk management plans in support of programme objectives, project estimates and bids
    • Work with customers, other engineering disciplines and other internal departments across the whole development process and respond to their requests in a timely and professional manner at both Parker Meggitt' and customers' premises as required
    • Perform internal project activities and work with external sub-contract organisations, whilst maintaining focus on achieving goals with a positive can-do attitude
    • Contribute to continual process improvement, in support of the company business and strategic objectives
    • Undertake any other engineering related tasks commensurate with this post as required.

    Required travel to attend international working groups, locations UK, Italy and Japan. Other adhoc F2F meetings will be required at Boscombe Down, MOD Abbey wood, LSI/LSSI UK Sites
