This is a unique role where you can inspire students at the secondary school level and equip them with essential digital skills for their future.
As an ICT Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering engaging and innovative ICT lessons, fostering students' digital literacy and enabling them to navigate the evolving world of technology.
You will have the opportunity to create a stimulating learning environment, adapt teaching methods to individual needs, and prepare students for the challenges and opportunities of the digital age.
Key Responsibilities:Plan and deliver dynamic and interactive ICT lessons, covering a range of topics such as computer programming, digital media, and information systems
Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment, catering to the diverse needs of students
Integrate industry-relevant practices and real-world applications to enhance students' understanding of ICT concepts
Utilize a variety of teaching resources and technologies to engage students and facilitate their ICT skills development
Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement individualized education plans for students with specific learning requirements
Assess students' progress, provide constructive feedback, and track their achievements in ICT
Requirements:
A degree in ICT, Computer Science, or a related field (Qualified teacher status - QTS - is desirable but not mandatory)
Proven experience teaching ICT or Computer Science at the secondary school or college level
Strong knowledge of ICT concepts, programming languages, and digital tools/software
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire students
A commitment to creating an inclusive learning environment
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
