    We have a current requirement for a Lead Quality and Environmental advisor to join the business on a full time permanent basis, the role will be based in our Glasgow office on a hybrid working model. The overall purpose of the role is to ensure that the Quality and Environmental processes and procedures within WGM and its supply base are effectively deployed & compliant with U.K regulations, ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO 1090 and Achilles to verify standards across all our sites locations. The role requires direct line management duties covering Quality Environment and Productivity along with the responsibility for acting as the primary client interface relating to all Quality and Environmental joint initiatives.

    Main duties and responsibilities

    • Lead, influence, support and develop Quality Environmental and Productivity advisors
    • on the relevant management systems, processes and procedures.
    • Support onboarding and training dept new employees.
    • Lead, influence and support WGM business streams on the implementation in practice.
    • to comply with Quality and Environmental processes, with compliance at the core.
    • Support HSEQ Director in strategic plans for Quality and Environmental improvement plans and deliverable.
    • Ensure availability and collation of periodic data monitoring, statistics and trends for regular management / governance meetings, including delay data.
    • Provide advice and guidance on all aspects of Quality and Environment.
    • Provide support to businesses to ensure processes within the CONNECT SharePoint system is standardised and consistent.
    • Compile Quality and Environmental incident reports and support incident investigations as required.
    • Support Quality and Environmental advisors and champions with implementation of continual improvement initiatives e.g. Quality / Environmental 5 Golden Rules, Right First Time concepts, Single Use Plastic reduction, Cost of Poor Quality, Carbon reduction plans.
    • Collate, categorise and undertake trend analysis of Quality and Environmental incidents, observation reports, audit non-conformance statistics.
    • Conduct Quality and Environmental inspections, support corrective measures and promote lessons learned as required.

    To be considered for this position you will have at least 3-5 years previous experience within a similar senior level quality & environmental role ideally within an engineering or construction environment. You will have excellent working knowledge of quality and environmental systems and procedures and have a good awareness of ISO9001, ISO14001 quality standards. Experience auditing, implement improvement activities and building a positive culture within a business is essential for the role, travel will be required to various site so a full UK driving license is essential for the position.
