Job Purpose:
To inspect, recover and report on fabric which has been rejected from manufacturing, inspection, or QA for fabric faults.

The output of this role will be fabric which is cut in an optimal way which is saleable and maximises the sales opportunity for the business.

Key Responsibilities:

To identify any remaining faults in the fabric
To mark up with the appropriate number of identifying tags faults that remain in the fabric after process
To record number of faults on the computer system and make an allowance on final length to the customer
Understand and follow our internal tagging procedure
Create new pieces on the system based on optimised cutting of quarantine pieces
Input information onto the scrap report to allow accurate reporting of faults and costs
To print off and attached the finished piece to the roll and place finished piece into a stillage for despatch to warehouse
Manage housekeeping so it is always clean and tidy
Complete stock-taking of quarantine locations and update AS400 to ensure accuracy
To follow all H&S instruction and work in a safe manor taking care of self and others
Report near misses as appropriate
Such other duties which are required and are reasonable
