    Description

    Role Overview

    The role will work closely with wider Group Finance team, Regional and Divisional CFO's and local Finance teams. Key deliverables include the monthly consolidation as well as support of the annual and half year Audit of the Group. The role includes the management, coaching and development of one direct report.

    Role Responsibilities

  • Ownership of the Group's multi-currency consolidation process for both internal management and statutory purposes.
  • Liaison with regional entities controllers to ensure a timely and accurate close across 27 countries.
  • Preparation of the Group's consolidated accounts under IFRS and associated analysis, including review of regional GAAP inputs.
  • Manage, coach and develop one qualified accountant
  • Review of monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations to ensure integrity and appropriate understanding / analysis of business unit submissions and overall consolidated results.
  • Preparation of monthly consolidated Balance Sheet and Cash Flow, along with process reporting to show both what the results are and how we know if they accurate and not misstated.
  • Liaising with other Group functions (Tax, Legal, Company Secretarial, Treasury and Compliance) and Regional Finance teams to ensure that supporting analysis for the annual report is prepared and delivered to fulfil the Group's reporting requirements.
  • Liaison with the external audit teams.
  • Supporting the annual budgeting and planning processes including working with the Group FP&A team to prepare quality forward looking consolidated reports.
  • Drive the automation of the consolidation process utilizing the functionality inherent in the consolidation tools and building controls and reporting.
  • Developing and implementing best practice processes.
  • Supporting the wider team's delivery requirements including ad hoc project work as required.
  • Experience / Competences

    Essential

  • Previous experience with multi-currency consolidations and plc group accounts is essential, preferably using Hyperion Financial Management or OneStream
  • Qualified Accountant
